Kitab Murah Labid Tafsir An-Nawawi

Syekh Muhammad Nawawi al-Bantani al-Jawi termasuk ulama yang subur menulis. Ada sekitar 38 karya Nawawi yang penting, yang sebagiannya diterbitkan di Mesir. Yang paling terkenal  tentu  tafsir Murah Labid yang juga dikenal sebagai tafsir Al-Munir.  Sampai sekarang kitab-kitab karangan Syekh Nawawi masih dipelajari di pesantren-pesantren di Jawa, selain di lembaga-lembaga tradisional di Timur Tengah, dan menjadi bahan kajian di universitas-universitas kita. Berbeda dengan karya ulama sezamannya sepeti Al-Banjari atau Syekh Khatib Al-Minangkabawi yang menulis dalam bahasa Melayu, kitab-kitab Syekh Nawawi seluruhnya ditulis dalam bahasa Arab. 

Berikut ini adalah beberapa karya Syekh Nawawi yang banyak dipelajari terutma di pesantren-pesantren salafiyah.

  •  Murah Labid Tafsir An-Nawawi , juga disebut Tafsir Al-Munir. Tafsir ini terdiri atas dua jilid, masing-masing 511 halaman dan 476 halaman, merupakan  masterpiece atau mahakarya Syekh Nawawi.  Ayat-ayat Alqur’an dari surah al-Fatihah sampai surah An-Nas dijelaskan oleh Nawawi secara kata per kata. Terkadang dia memberi pengantar di awal surah, antara lain mengenai sababun nuzul atau peristiwa kapan ayat itu diturunkan. Upaya Nawawi dalam mengungkap makna ayat, juga dilengkapi dengan hadits Nabi yang relevan, selain tambahan keterangan dari pendapat sahabat.
  • Qathrul Ghaits fi Syarhi Masaili Abi al-Laits. Ini kitab syarah atas risalah yang disusun oleh Abu al-Laits mengenai keimanan. Ini semacam kitab How To alias buku panduan mengenai keimanan. Yakni dengan mengunakan metode penulisan Tanya-Jawab atau Q & A. Misalnya, apakah iman itu; bagaimana beriman kepada Allah; apakah iman itu makhluk atau bukan makhluk? 
  • Nurudh Dhalam, Syarh ‘ala  ‘Aqidatil Awwam. Kitab syarah atas nadzam Aqidatul Awwam karangan Sayyid Ahmad al-Marzuqi al-Maliki al-Makki ini merupakan karya populer di karangan pesatren. Teks mengenai keimanan yang disajikan dalam bentuk sajak ini memuat sifat-sifat wajib pada Allah Taa’ala, sifat-sifat Nabi, nasabnya, istri-istri dan anak-anaknya.
  • Qami’uth Tugyan, syarah ‘ala Syi’bil Iman. Seperti diisyaratkan judulnya, kitab syarah atas nadham Syi’bul Iman karangan Syekh Al-Malibari ini masih mengenai keimanan.Yang dikemukakan adalah iman dalam impelementasinya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Terdapat 77 cabang iman atau tanda-tanda keberimanan seseorang. Dalam syarahnya, Nawawi tidak hanya menjelaskan kata per kata, tapi juga memperkayanya dengan hadist Nabi. Keberimanan yang diimplementasikan dalam laku atau perbuatan-perbuatan yang terpuji ini sangat tepat untuk membangun karakter anak didik.
  • Fat-hul Majid, Syarh Ad-Durr al-Farid fi ‘Aqaid ahl-Al-Tawhid. Kitab syarah atas karya Syekh Ahmad an-Nahrawi ini merupakan bacaan lanjut mengenai masalah aqidah. Beberapa konsep yang cukup njlimet seperti  teori kasab-nya Al-Asy’ari dibahas dalam buku ini.
  • Tijan al-Darari fi Syarhi Risalah Al-Bajuri. Kitab tipis mengenai sifat-sifat wajib dan muhal pada  Allah,  dan juga sifat wajib, muhal dan jaiz pada  rasul. Kitab ini juga memuat nasab Rasulullah s.a.w.
  • Sulalamul Fudhala,  ‘ala Hidayatil Adzkiya ila Thariqil Auliya. Kitab syarah atas nadham yang disusun oleh Syekh Zainuddin al-Malibari ini merupakan kitab tasawuf. Kitab ini menjelaskan bahwa keselamatan akhirat perlu ditempuh melalui syari’ah, thariqah dan haqiqah. Namun demikian kitab ini lebih menekankan pada tasawuf yang sifatnya akhlaqi (moralitas), bukan aspek mistisismenya. Seperti mengenai sifat tawakkal, ikhlas, menghindari maksiat, menyibukkan diri dalam mencari lmu dan ibadah, ikhtiar dalam mencari penghidupan, bergaul dengan orang saleh dst. Alhasil, ini kitab bagaimana membangun religiusitas dalam kehidupan sehari-hari.
  • Nihayatuz Zain fi Irsyadil Mubtadi’in. Ini adalah kitab fikih lengkap, syarah atas kitab Qurratul ‘Ain bi Muhimmati ad-Din karangan Syekh Zainuddin al-Malibari. Dimulai dengan memuat bab thaharah sampai bab jihad dan dakwah.
  • ‘Uqudul Lujain. Kitab fikih yang satu ni memuat tentang hak dan kewajiban suami dan istri ini sudah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa daerah yaitu Sunda dan Jawa (termasuk bahasa Jawa Banten), selain bahasa Indonesia. Bahkan KH Husein Muhammad dari Cirebon memberi catatan kritis terhadap salah satu kitab Nawawi yang masih menjadi pegangan sebagian kalangan muslimin di Tanah Air ini.  
  • Sullamul Munajah, syarah  Safinatush Shalah. Kitab fikih tipis, khusus  membahas shalat fardhu. Mulai dari takbiratul ihram, bacaan-bacaan dalam shalat, sampai thiiiyat.
  • Kasyifatus Saja, ‘ala  Safinatn Najaah fi Ushuliddin wal-Fiqh. Syarah atas kitab fikih standar karya Syeikh Salim ibn Sumyr al-Khudhri. Yang banyak digunakan di pesantren. Dimulai dari bab shalat sampai bab puasa.    
  • Maraqah Shu’udit Tasdiq fi Syarh Sullam at-Tawfiq. Kitab fikih setebal 88 halaman ini bahasannya agak beragam. Ada bab yang membahas hukum murtad, kewajiban menjalankan hal-hal yang diwajibkan dan meninggalkan hal-hal yang diharamkan, fardhu wudhu, rukun shalat, zakat, puasa, naik haji, sifat-sifat terpuji dan sifat-sifat tercela, perbuatan maksiat, sampai cara betobat.
  •  Al-Tsimarul Yani’ah fi al-Riyadhil Badi’ah. Ini juga kitab fikih, syarah atas mukhtashar (ringkasan) karya Syeikh Muhammad Hasbullah. Dimulai dari pembahasan  thaharah sampai masalah sumpah dan nadzar.
  • Tanqihul Qaul al-Hatsits fi Syarhi li-Babi Hadits (Jalaluluddin As-Suyuthi). Kitab ini memuat bebagai hadis susunan Imam Jalaluddin As-Suyuthi . Dimulai bab pertama tentang keutamaan mencari ilmu dan ulama, sampai bab 40 mengenai keutamaan bersabar dalam menerima mushibah atawa cobaan.  Kitab 64 halaman ini relatif komplet karena di dalamnya juga mengungkap keutamaan dalam ibadah mahdhah, pergaulan sehari-hari, seperti keutamaan dalam mengurangi tawa, menjenguk orang sakit, sampai masalah pendidikan anak.
  • Nashaa’ihul  ‘Ibad, fi Bayani Alfadh Munabbihat ‘alal Isti’dadi Liyaumil Mi’ad. Buku ini sudah diterjemahkan ke dalam bahasa Indonesia, dan bahasa Sunda (3 Jilid). Ini termasuk kitab Syekh Nawawi yang populer di kalangan pesantren. Tentang  berbagai wejangan atawa nasihat mengenai kehidupan seorang muslim. Nasihat-nasihat itu diambil dari khabar (hadist) dan atsar alias penuturan sahabat.
