Kita Kembali Kepada Kesucian Diri

Tahun ini kita kembali berlebaran dalam suasana pandemi.  Ini adalah kali kedua kita beridul fitri dengan sejumlah pembatasan. Tak ada salat ied yang kolosal di tengah lapangan. Tak ada kumpul-kumpul dengan keluarga besar atau handai tolan. Dan tentu saja ritual akbar tahunan: mudik lebaran.

Pulang kampung sejatinya  bisa dilakukan kapan mau. Silaturahim pun bisa lebih erat berkat dengan menggunakan aneka macam aplikasi pada telepon genggam. Tapi itu tidak bisa menggantikan mudik,  yang boleh jadi kurang bermakna jika tidak dihubungkan dengan lebaran atau hari raya Idul Fitri. Dan untuk itu orang rela membuat antrean panjang dan menempuh kemacetan di jalan raya. Atau bahkan membeli tiket pesawat dengan harga tidak masuk akal.

Tapi itu semua boleh dibilang absen. Pemerintah telah melarang mudik,  walaupun dikabarkan di sana-sini tidak sedikit yang nekat menerobos perintang jalan yang sengaja dibuat agar tidak bisa dilalui kendaraan para pemudik. Satu-satunya keistimewaan yang mungkin masih menemani adalah hidangan yang enak-enak. Selebihnya adalah sepi. Memang ada upaya-upaya untuk membatasi kembali aktivitas  kehidupan masyarakat. Meski begitu,  menjelang lebaran  pasar atau pusat-pusat perbelanjaan masih ramai dikunjungi orang.

Kita tidak tahu, sampai kapan suasana yang serba terbatasi ini akan berakhir? Sekarang memang sudah ditemukan vaksin untuk Covid-19, dan upaya vaksinasi pun sudah dilakukan walaupun jumlahnya masih sedikit. Nah. di tengah-tengah itu muncul kecemasan sehubungan terjadinya “tsunami Covid-19” di India. Dinamakan demikian karena  yang angka hariannya mencapai berlipat dari kasus-kasus yang pernah terjadi di dunia. Dilaporkan, pada 28 April 2021, total kasus infeksi harian di sana mencapai 362.567 kasus, dengan angka kematian lebih dari 200 ribu. Rumah-rumah sakit menolak pasien karena kehabisan tempat tidur dan oksigen. Orang-orang pun terpaksa dirawat di trotoar-trotoar. Gelombang besar pandemi itu muncul setelah pemerintah India melakukan relaksasi ketika pandemi di sana mulai menyurut, dibarengi dengan pengabaian protokol kesehatan.         

Virus corona memang telah membuat muram suasana lebaran, dan  menghalangi sebagian besar muslimin di Tanah Air untuk mudik lebaran, merayakan Idul Fitri di kampung halaman. Tapi hal itu tak menghalangi kita untuk kembali ke asal-muasal kita yang sejati: kesucian.  

Yakni kembalinya manusia kepada asal mula kejadiannya sebagai makhluk fitrah yang suci dan baik. Prosesi ini sejatinya sudah dimulai sejak awal Ramadan, karena pada dasarnya puasa merupakan upaya untuk memperoleh kesucian dan kebaikan diri itu. Kesucian ini diperoleh setelah kita mendapat pengampunan dari Allah SWT. Hanya saja, ampunan  itu cuma diberikan kepada orang-orang yang menjalani puasa dengan penuh keimanan dan introspeksi diri. 

Puasa, denga demikian, adalah  sebuah perjalanan pensucian diri untuk menjadi manusia baru setelah kembali ke fitrah. Adalah fitrah yang menuntun manusia berbuat kebajikan dan tunduk kepada Sang Maha Pencipta. Jika ada  seseorangyang tidak berbuat kebaikan dan berpaling dari Sang Pemberi hidup, maka sesungguhnya dia telah menyimpang dari fitrah-nya sendiri. 

Seperti halnya berbuat kebaikan, iman  juga merupakan fitrah manusia. Iman  sendiri, sebagai bentuk kesadaran paling dalam mengenai asal dan tujuan hidup, bersifat dinamis, karena bisa bertambah dan berkurang. Ia juga menjadi absurd atau sebatas klaim jika tidak dimanifestasikan ke dalam perbuatan nyata  yaitu amal kebajikan. Oleh karena itu, penyebutan “orang-orang beriman” di dalam Alquran selalu diikuti penyebutan “orang-orang yang beramal saleh.” Dan untuk beramal saleh, menebar kebajikan dan memberi berkah bagi kehidupan manusia, seseorang atau kelompok orang dituntut untuk mengerahkan segala daya kreatifnya. Inilah sejatinya tugas suci manusia sebagai khalifah, duta, Tuhan di muka bumi. Dan untuk memangku tugas yang bukan main mulia ini,  manusia harus kembali kepada fitrah-nya yang suci dan baik itu – dan inilah yang sejatinya perlu dirayakan.

Secara simbolik perayaan kembali ke fitrah itu disambut dengan mengenakan pakaian baru. Meski begitu, Nabi mengingatkan bahwa Idul Fitri sesungguhnya bukan bagi  mereka yang pakai baju baru, tetapi bagi yang takwanya bertambah. Bukankah dengan berpuasa orang diharapkan menjadi takwa? Pengertian takwa yang sederhana dan sering kita dengar adalah “menunaikan segala yang diperintahkan dan menjauhi segala yang diharamkan.” Takwa merupakan mahkota kehidupan bagi orang mukmin. Allah pun menyebut bahwa “orang yang paling mulia di antara kalian adalah orang yang paling bertakwa.” Tetapi siapa  yang bisa disebut paling takwa? Tidak ada yang bisa mendaku bahwa seseorang lebih bertakwa dari yang lainnya. Allah pun hanya meyuruh  agar semampu mungkin orang untuk bertakwa. Sementara Nabi menyatakan bahwa takwa itu “haa huna (dia di sini)” seraya menunjuk dadanya. Yakni tindakan yang berhubungan dengan hati seperti kejujuran, ketulusan, keikhlasan dan seterusnya.

Minal a’idin walfaizin. Taqaballalahu minna waminkum. Selamat Idul Fitri 1442 H. Semoga kita menjadi bagian dari orang-orang yang kembali kepada kesucian diri, dan mohon maaf lahir dan batin***
